NBA keynote at Mobey forum
NBA's CEO opens Mobey Forum, a global event hosted by Danske Bank to discuss the next era of digital banking

It’s a question of when and how - not if.

That was the key takeaway from this week’s Mobey Forum meeting, where more than 120 global banking and fintech leaders met in Copenhagen to explore digital assets and the next era of banking.

Hosted by Danske Bank, our CEO Jakob Mikkel Hansen opened with a keynote on the digital transformation of money - setting the tone for two days of forward-looking dialogue.

Key insights across discussions:

- Stablecoins solve structural problems and are here to stay.

- Bank participation is inevitable - it’s just a question of how and when.

- The technology is ready for scale, and AI will accelerate this development.

- Banks risk losing customers to neo banks and fintech if they don’t adapt.

- The tokenisation of trust is emerging as a defining use case.

- TradFi and DeFi collaborations could reshape the entire market.

Recent Nordics developments underscore the momentum: from Nordea’s announcement to offer a Bitcoin ETP to Revolut’s plans to open a Danish office in 2027, Danske Bank joining the 9-bank consortium to issue a euro stablecoin, and Klarna’s announcement this week to issue its own stablecoin - and the list goes on.

Developments that undoubtedly will accelerate innovation, user adoption, and create opportunities for blockchain, crypto, and web3 companies across the Nordics and Baltics.

Thank you Mobey Forum, Kasper Sylvest, Elina Mattila, Annamária Búriová and Sini Lind for the invitation, energy, and facilitating exceptional discussions.

And thank you to all speakers and participating members - we look forward to continuing the dialogue!
