Last year, Norway was the Nordic crypto adoption frontrunner with an estimated 12% of the adult population owning crypto. In 2026, however, the data reveals a slight decrease of 70.000 holders - bringing Norwegian crypto ownership to nearly 480.000 (or 11% of adults). Nevertheless, Norway is still among the countries with the highest crypto adoption rates in the region.

A few highlights:

• Nearly 480.000 adults in Norway own crypto (11 % of the adult population).
• The estimated Norwegian crypto wealth is NOK 39 billion (or $4 billion).
• 20% of adults in Norway expect to own crypto in the next 10 years.
• Among Norwegians under the age of 40, it is more common to own crypto than stocks.
