More than 2.5 million adults in the Nordics now own crypto. This recent data from the Nordic Crypto Adoption Survey 2026 pains a picture of a region with an increasing crypto appetite, mass adoption and market maturity.

A few highlights:

• 2.5 million adults own crypto across the Nordics (corresponding to 11% of the Nordic adult population)
• This is an increase of nearly 326.000 crypto owners since the 2025 survey.
• The average age of crypto owners grows: The largest increase in ownership in 2025 was seen among adults aged 40-49.
• Among adults under the age of 40, it is increasingly common to own crypto compared to stocks.
• 25% of the Nordic adult population believe they will own crypto within the next 10 years, increasing crypto ownership to 5.6 million.
