Data from the Swedish Crypto Adoption Survey 2026 reveals a record year for crypto ownership in Sweden. With more than 1.1 mio crypto owners (up by 500.000 since last year's survey), there can be no doubt that mass adoption has reached Sweden.

A few highlights:

• 1.1 mio adults in Sweden now own crypto (corresponding to 103% of the adult population).
• The estimated Swedish crypto wealth is SEK 95 billion (or $10.2 billion).
• 30% of adults in Sweden expect to own crypto in the next 10 years.
• Among Swedes under the age of 50, there is a preference for crypto over stocks. SCB data shows 960,000 shareholders, versus the 1.14 mio Swedes reporting crypto ownership.
